CodePrep is the core of the Fusion CAC engine. Using the powerful EMscribe NLP engine, Fusion CAC pre-codes inpatient and outpatient charts with both ICD9 and CPT4 codes to reduce coding effort by over 80%. CodePrep integrates with your existing encoding product and billing system.
CodeMap™
After a chart is completed in CodePrep, Fusion CAC stores the event for future searches. Internal coding reviews as well as external coding audits are aided by the hyper-linking of resulting codes to the exact documents and keywords in the chart that resulted in the final coding process.

POA Module™
The POA (Present on Admission) Module for Fusion CAC is designed to assist in the pay for performance initiatives presently in place and mandated by Medicare reporting on the UB04 form. Presently, this process requires the manual intervention by a coding specialist to identify the diagnoses that were present only on admission. Fusion CAC can assist in automating this function by presenting a POA summary sheet with pre-selected status codes for coder verification before submission. This module further reduces manual intervention in reporting these new requirements.
